What's Special About 5th Grade at Capstone Christian Academy?
Fifth graders at Capstone Christian Academy embark on an advanced stage of their educational journey, demonstrating a more sophisticated approach to learning. They continue to take on individual projects and engage in more independent study, building on what they learned in the fourth grade. This is all done while receiving guidance and feedback from our dedicated teaching staff and a 12:1 student/teacher ratio.
Beyond academic achievements, 5th-grade students at our Private christian elementary school serve as role models for their younger counterparts, exemplifying the virtues of faith, hope, and love. They also will continue enhancement in our extracurriculars/electives that we have to offer, including STEM, Music, Art, Spanish, Library, Computer Lab, and PE, further distinguishing us as a leading Christian academy in Nevada.

A Typical Day
The students start the day full of energy and enthusiasm to keep learning.
Preschool
For 2.5 to 3-year-olds. A program designed to give you complete confidence in every aspect of your child’s experience.
Pre-Kindergarten
For 4-year-olds. The year before kindergarten is an important stage, and we want your child to enjoy it while building the right skills for the steps ahead.
Transitional Kindergarten
For 5-year-olds who are waiting to start kindergarten. Capstone has created a student-centered and individualized approach designed to make sure they are ready.

The 5th Grade Learning Experience
As a leading Christian academy in Las Vegas, our fifth graders build upon a strong foundation in reading, math, history, science, and biblical studies and delve into these subjects with increased complexity and depth, in accordance with Nevada State Standards. Students focus on mastering key skills in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. These standards provide a framework for a comprehensive and challenging curriculum, ensuring students are well-prepared for academic success.
This pivotal year not only shapes their academic prowess but also nurtures the development of empathy and a broader perspective on the interconnectedness of the world, as they get prepared to jump into middle school.
